Caving Trips for Schools
We are delighted to work with many schools every year to deliver quality, memorable and educational trips to students with just the right balance of adventure and history.
When you book a trip with us for your school, you can be sure that your students and visiting staff will be looked after with the greatest of care, and no participant will be required to do anything that they are uncomfortable with.
Whether you're looking to give your class a purely adrenaline-rich day out, or an educational trip with lots of history and information about the fascinating Welsh Slate industry, or a balance of the two - we can provide it professionally and competently, without the need or cost to book on an residential course.
We are inspected and certified by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (a legal requirement to provide adventure activities to school groups). We also offer an attractive tiered discount system for groups of over 10 participants - making a day out with us not only terrific fun, memorable and informative - but also excellent value for money.
We meet at our base at the Conwy Falls, just outside Betws-y-coed and provide all your kit and equipment, even Wellington boots if students don't have their own. We suggest that you allow 5-6 hours in total for your time with us - this may vary depending on the size of the group. We can take up to 35 participants if necessary. We can start the underground trip at a time convenient for you, or even run it in the evening if it better suits your schedule.
Please give us a call or send us an email if you'd like to book us for a day out, we'll be only too pleased to help.
Go Below is an established adventure activity business in Snowdonia specialising in underground activities. Our trip leaders are passionate recreational and professional mine explorers and many are active on local Cave Rescue and Mountain Rescue teams. We are fully focused and experienced in providing quality, efficiently organised, professional mine exploration trips for others. Our trip leaders are also very knowledgeable on the mining industry and its history.
Our trip leaders are qualified and hold emergency first aid certificates. We are fully insured and our permit under the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority allows us to work directly with groups of minors. We are happy to produce copies of certificates and risk assessments.
